Dear St. Mary’s Families,

My name is Lindsay Morris, and I am absolutely ecstatic to be joining the St. Mary’s School family as your new Principal. From the moment I first connected with the school, I felt called to be here. It truly feels like divine intervention that has led me back to the work I love most: supporting, guiding, and celebrating elementary students.

I bring with me 26 years of experience in education, having served as an elementary teacher, Assistant Principal in Chatham CSD, Elementary Principal at Brunswick-Brittonkill CSD, School Improvement Literacy Specialist with the Regional Partnership Center, and most recently as District Curriculum Coordinator at WSWHE BOCES. Along the way, I’ve been deeply honored to be recognized as Teacher of the Year six times and to achieve a personal dream by publishing my children’s book, Our Hearts Beat the Same (2019), which tells the story of a child with autism in an inclusive classroom.

One of the most meaningful experiences of my career has been serving as part of a leadership team that helped guide a school community through a time of challenge into a place of stability and success. This work was possible because of the dedication of students, families, educators, and community members who came together around a shared vision for what our children deserve. It reaffirmed my belief in the power of collaboration, the importance of meeting each child where they are, and the value of nurturing both their academic and personal growth. I carry forward a deep conviction that every child has the ability to thrive when supported with structure, care, and love.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, volunteering, and cheering on my children in their many activities. I am blessed to share life with my fiancé, Adam Brennan; my daughter, Peyton (a sophomore at Elon University); my son, Tye (a junior at Stillwater CSD); and our sweet Golden Retriever, Bailey Grace.

I feel truly blessed to have found my forever home here at St. Mary’s. I look forward to working alongside our incredible faculty, staff, parents, and parish community to continue building a school where children are supported academically, socially, and spiritually. Together, we will create a nurturing and challenging environment where every child thrives.

I cannot wait to begin this journey with you all.

With gratitude and excitement,

Mrs. Lindsay Morris
